Our Logo...was inspired by the narrative by Jean Giono "The Man Who Planted Trees", set during the early 1900s in a region of Aix en Provence which had been virtually transformed to desert terrain by industrial abuse & agricultural negligence. The small towns had been deserted by all but one lonely old shepherd who every day as he tried to graze his flock would plant nuts in the ground along his path. "But it may be years before these trees are grown! You may never even get to see them." He was one day told by a passing traveller. "Perhaps," answered the shepherd, "but maybe one day my children will!"
20 years later saw the transformation of the entire valley. The towns & villages were rebuilt & a young forest had been brought back to life. The benevolent old shepherd did, in fact, live long enough to receive an award from the state for single-handedly restoring the region.
One may not be able to change the whole world. But if you can change ONE life you"ve changed your part of the world & you"ve proven that it can be done!
